Nikola Zaringer
Nikola Zaringer (1996) studied at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, first in the class of Prof. Nevena Popović, and then in the class of Prof. Vladimir Cvijić, as well as at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana, where he completed his master’s degree in piano in the class of the celebrated pianist and pedagogue Dubravka Tomšič-Srebotnjak in 2021.
He attended numerous piano masterclasses, working with renowned pedagogues and pianists, including: Kemal Gekić, Edmund Dawe, Sergey Senkov, Ruben Dalibaltayan, Ewa Kupiec, Milana Chernyavska, Ian Jones, Stephen Kovacevich, Simon Trpčeski, Manlio Pinto, Hinko Haas, Aidas Puodžiukas.
He is the recipient of several important awards, which the Faculty of Music in Belgrade awards to the most promising students: the award from the Olga Mihailović Fund (2017), the award from the Katarina Aćimović Fund (2018), and the award from the Jelena Pavlović Fund (2019).
He won high prizes at piano and chamber music competitions in Serbia and abroad: “Banjalučki Biennale”, Banja Luka, 2014 (first prize); “Città di San Donà di Piave”, Venice, 2015 (second prize); “Klavitas”, Smederevo, 2016 (first prize and title Laureate); “Davorin Jenko”, Belgrade, 2017 (first prize and title Laureate); “World Open Online Music Competition”, Belgrade, 2021 (first prize); and “International Moscow Online Music Competition”, Moscow, 2021 (third prize).
He performed as a soloist in all important halls in Belgrade, such as the Ilija M. Kolarac Foundation, Belgrade Philharmonic, SASA Gallery, Student Cultural Center, National Library of Serbia, Russian House, CCC Hall, CFA Guarnerius, ARTGET Gallery, Italian Institute of Culture, City Assembly, etc.
In the field of chamber music, he actively performs in various ensembles.
He is currently a piano doctoral student in the class of Prof. Vladimir Cvijić at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where he is employed as a Collaborative pianist at the Department of String Instruments.
