Composition

Study program Composition includes three study levels:

  1.  Bachelor academic studies – four-year studies (240 ECTS)
  2. Master academic studies – one-year studies (60 ECTS)
  3. PhD academic studies – three-year studies (180 ECTS)

At all levels of Composition study programs significant attention is given to the development of students’ creative artistic capacities, with an aim to form the music personality of a higher level professional composers.

In addition to acquiring abilities for independent artistic activity and participation in work of diverse performers and ensembles, students gain competencies for work in the field of music pedagogy in music schools, as well as in the cultural institutions.

Learning outcomes include obtaining creative skills for artistic expression and public performance, understanding the repertoire and music material, along with skills in teaching compositional-technical disciplines using contemporary principles and methods.
