Performing Arts

Performing Arts study program includes three study levels:

  1.  Bachelor four-year academic studies (240 ECTS). This study level incorporates the following modules:
    – Conducting
    – Vocal studies
    – Piano
    – String instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass)
    – Wind instruments (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, French horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba)
    – Poly-instrumental module (Guitar, Harp, Organ, Harpsichord, Percussions)
    – Jazz vocal studies and jazz instruments (Piano, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Guitar and Double Bass)
  2.  Master and Specialist academic studies:
    – One-year master academic studies (60 ECTS) include all modules from the previous study level, together with Chamber music module
    – One-year specialist academic studies (60 ECTS) include all modules from the previous study level, together with Chamber music module
  3.  PhD three-year academic studies (180 ECTS). This study level includes the following modules:
    – Conducting
    – Vocal studies
    – Piano
    – String instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass)
    – Wind instruments (Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone)
    – Poly-instrumental module (Guitar, Harp, Harpsichord, Percussions)
    – Chamber music

At Performing Arts study program considerable attention is given to the development of artistic capacities. The aim is formation of conductor, chamber musician, instrument performer, singer, jazz singer and jazz instrument performer, of higher professional level.

In addition to acquiring abilities for independent artistic activity and participation in work of diverse performers and ensembles, students gain competencies for work in the field of music pedagogy in music schools, as well as in the cultural institutions.

Learning outcomes include obtaining skills for practicing and rehearsing, playing in ensembles, artistic expression and public performance, understanding the repertoire and music material, along with skills in teaching music using contemporary principles and methods.
