Nikola Dedić, PhD

Dr. Nikola Dedić, full professor. He graduated in Art History at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, and received his master’s and doctorate in Art and Media Theory at the University of Arts in Belgrade. At the Faculty of Music, he teaches art history and applied aesthetics. He is the author of a number of monographs and dozens of articles in domestic and foreign professional journals and edited volumes. He is the winner of the “Lazar Trifunović” award for the best art criticism in 2010. He is a member of the international professional association AICA (Association Internationale des Critiques d’Art). His research focuses on the history and theory of art from the second half of the 20th century, materialist theories of ideology, and the critique of the political economy of culture. He is the author of the following monographs: Symbolic and Material Production.
