Associate professor in the artistic field of Violin

Ljubomir Mihailović (born 1962) graduated from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Professor Rajko Dojčinović. He then proceeded to finish his master studies in the Music Academy of Novi Sad in the class of Professor Dejan Mihailović. He was also perfecting his studies in the class of Igor Ozim in the “Hochshule für Musik” located in Köln, Germany.

His concert career had started at the early age of 8 when he performed his first solo concert. He received multiple first prize awards in Serbia and ex-Yugoslavia. He received the second prize award in the International competition “Jaroslav Kocijan” held in Czech Republic.

Ljubomir held numerous recitals and performed as a soloist with a number of local and foreign symphonic orchestras, such as Belgrade philharmonic, Zagreb philharmonic, Radio and TV orchestra of Belgrade, Army orchestra of Yugoslavia, Orchestra form Osijek, Orchestra of the Music Academy, National orchestra of Peru. He was also the concert master of chamber orchestra ”Sinfonijeta”.
He has been playing as a soloist and concert master with the Köln chamber assemble more than 400 concerts across Germany, France, Spain and Switzerland since 1994. He has also performed in Greece, Austria, Peru, Russia, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Portugal and Israel. As a soloist with a chamber orchestra he recorded a CD “Four Seasons/Antonio Vivaldi” in the edition of MDM from Köln.
Ljubomir Mihailović is an associate professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where he works and resides.
