Dragoljub Bajić, DMA

Assistant professor in the artistic field of Singing

Dragoljub Bajić, born in Belgrade on February 22, 1976, is an opera singer and professor.

He began his musical education at the “Stanković” Music School under Professor Ljubica Živković, and completed both his undergraduate and doctoral studies in solo singing at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, under Professor Nikola Mijailović.

He is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions — “Vojislav Vučković,” “Petar Konjović,” “Lazar Jovanović,” as well as the international competitions “Musical Youth” in Belgrade (2008) and “Elena Teodorini” (Romania, 2013).

As a scholarship holder of the Musik Theater Foundation in Vienna (2006–2008), he was recognized as one of the most promising young voices of the Balkans. Since 2009, he has collaborated with Riccardo Muti, performing in concerts in Salzburg, Ravenna, and Florence, after which he received an invitation to the Vienna State Opera.

Throughout his career, Bajić has performed in prestigious opera houses and concert halls around the world, including Vienna, Salzburg, Dubai, Seoul, Florence, Moscow, and Bucharest… In 2017, he earned the title of Principal Opera Singer at the National Theatre in Belgrade.

He received his Doctorate from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in 2023, where he now works as Professor. His interpretations have been described as inspirational, technically precise, and deeply musical. Since July 2025, he has been serving as the Acting General Manager of the National Theatre in Belgrade.
