Dejana Kravarušić-Bajić, MMus

Higher collaborative pianist at the String Instruments Department

She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, in the Piano Department under the mentorship of Professor Zorica Dimitrijević-Stošić and Professor Aleksandar Šandorov. As a successful student, she received scholarships from the Republic Foundation for the Development of Scientific and Artistic Youth and was awarded the Katarina Aćimović Fund prize.

She won over 10 national awards at piano competitions in the former Yugoslavia and participated in international competitions both domestically and abroad. She refined her skills through international piano and chamber music courses with professors Bashkirov, Nasedkin (Russia), Brumberg (Austria), Valdma (Estonia), and Olivera Đurđević (Serbia). A scholarship from OAED—the Austrian Bureau for Academic Exchange and Cooperation—enabled her to study at the Joseph Haydn Institute for Chamber Music and Special Ensembles in Vienna in 2009. Her early musical education was shaped by distinguished pedagogues: Dušica Mitić, Zlata Maleš (student of Matusja Blum), Vladimir Jovanović (conductor, composer, solfeggio expert), and Aleksandar Šandorov (student of Igor Lazko – Yakov Zak, Russian piano school).

She has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, and Austria, enriching her artistic repertoire and versatility. A significant artistic impulse came from her collaboration with soloists of the Belgrade Philharmonic and under the artistic direction of conductor Uroš Lajovic during the 2000–2002 season. She has made permanent recordings with the RTS Symphony Orchestra, the Belgrade Philharmonic, and in works by contemporary composers for solo piano. She has been engaged as a pianist–artistic associate at masterclasses, workshops and international competitions for talented artists. She completed a two-year education in Transactional Analysis (Basic TA Certificate, TA Centar, 2010) and is a certified yoga instructor (Ministry of Sports, 2021). For the 2024 FMU accreditation cycle, she designed an elective course titled Yoga for Musicians.

She has been employed at the Faculty of Music since 2007. Currently, she holds the position of Senior Artistic Associate across all levels of study, performing with students at concerts, competitions, professional auditions, and masterclasses.
