Aleksandra Branković, PhD
PhD Aleksandra Branković was born in Belgrade in 1988. At the Faculty of Music in Belgrade she completed her undergraduate studies at the Department of General Music Pedagogy in 2010, Master’s degree in the field of Solfeggio Teaching Methods in 2012. She completed her doctoral studies in the Music Science study program, Music Pedagogy module at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade on May 25, 2022, with the defense of her doctoral dissertation on the topic of the Applicability of Folk Songs in Teaching Initial Music Literacy in Serbia during the 20th Century under the mentorship of Associate Professor Dr. Gordana Karan.
Aleksandra Branković has been employed as an assistant for the narrower theoretical and artistic field of Solfeggio and Solfeggio Teaching Methods since 2016, and as an assistant with a doctorate in 2022 at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. Since the beginning of her professional engagement, she has participated in the development of tasks for Solfeggio entrance exams; she is the author of scientific papers in the field of music pedagogy presented at domestic and international conferences; and a member of the program and organizational committees of international conferences.
In 2019, Aleksandra Branković participated in the Erasmus project – teaching staff mobility, when she visited the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, Vilnius.
She is a recipient of scholarships in the country and abroad: a scholarship holder from the Fund for Young Talents of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia, 2009/2010; a scholarship holder from the Austrian International Summer Academy (Internationale Sommerakademie der mdw), organized by the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien) in 2015 and 2018.
