At the second international competition “Vienna Fest,” the chamber ensemble “Duo Hertz,” consisting of students from our faculty, Lara Arbajter (piano) and Ognjen Vujanac (violin), from the class of full professor Dejan Subotić, DMA, won a gold medal in their age category.

FAME’S Institute Summer 2026 Orchestral Courses taking place in Skopje from June 29th to July 19th, 2026. These intensive programs provide a unique opportunity for students to engage with classical, world, hybrid, and film music under the guidance of internationally acclaimed mentors.

We would like to inform you that the submission deadline has been extended to 1 May 2026 for the 16th Biennial International Conference on Music Theory and Analysis, titled Polyphony of Music Theory: Methodological Pluralism in Scholarship, which will be held at the University of Arts in Belgrade (Serbia), from 2 to 4 October 2026, in a hybrid format. The conference will feature plenary lectures by Thomas Christensen (USA), Sarah Marlowe (USA), and Peter Schubert (Canada).

At the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, on April 8–9, 2026, the second annual AIRE2 conference (Annual In.tune Research in Education Event) was held. The event was dedicated to strengthening the links between artistic research and education within the European university alliance In.tune.

Teachers across the IN.TUNE Alliance are invited to apply for the first IN.TUNE Call for the Collaborative Teacher-led Projects (https://intune-alliance.eu/fajlovi/p1jkvdmtkg1dfm1gi8bor12ls104h4.pdf).

The call gives teachers the opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the alliance and develop small-scale international projects that are meaningful for their own discipline, teaching practice and artistic field. It is open to teachers from all partner institutions and all disciplines, with priority given to projects.

First-year undergraduate student Teodor Tomić (19), from the class of Associate Professor Dr. Katarina Jovanović, will perform the leading tenor role in the opera Postcard from Morocco by Dominick Argento.The production is a co-production between Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, and the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, realized through the In.Tune Alliance.
