Faculty of Music

This summer, from June 29 to July 13, the Barcelona Arts Summer School (BASS 2025) was held in Barcelona – an international interdisciplinary summer school that brought together young artists from the fields of film, music, performing, and visual arts. Through collaborative project work, participants explored ways of connecting different artistic disciplines, developing new forms of contemporary artistic expression.

In.Tune Governance Week

From June 16 to 19, the In.Tune Governance Week was held at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.

The event was attended by Rector Dr. Mirjana Nikolić, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Dr. Art. Dimitrije Pecić, Dean of the Faculty of Music Dr. Art. Slobodan Gerić, Institutional Manager Dr. Ivana Perković, and student Dušan Dakić.

On behalf of the Faculty of Music, the following participants are attending the program:

− Stana Krstajić, MMus Associate Professor in the field of Woodwind Instruments – Comparative Subjects,
− Luka Ignjatović, Associate Professor in the field of Jazz Saxophone, and
− Damjan Jovičin, DMA, Assistant Professor in the field of Composition – Compositional and Technical Disciplines.

Teachers in higher music education across the IN.TUNE Alliance are invited to apply for the Artist as Teacher course, a professional development programme designed to enhance pedagogical skills and inspire reflective teaching. The course is open to educators at all career stages and combines live sessions at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague with online learning.

Dr Milena Petrović, Full Professor, has been selected as the representative of the Faculty of Music from among doctoral studies mentors at the AIRE Conference in Vienna, organized within the IN.TUNE alliance.

Marko Vesić, a doctoral student in composition, has been selected as the representative of the Faculty of Music from among the doctoral candidates at the same conference.

It is our great pleasure to invite colleagues, researchers, artists, doctoral students, and experts in the field of music to participate in the 17th international conference Music in Socio-Cultural Turmoil, organized by the Department of Musicology of the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade. The conference will take place in Belgrade, from 29 to 31 October 2025.

The Electoral Council of the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade fully supports the demands of the students, adopts them as its own, and accordingly decides to continue the suspension of classes and exams at all levels of study until the end of student blockades.

This decision continues the unequivocal support for the students and their legitimate demands, which the Teaching-Artistic-Scientific Council of the Faculty has supported since the first days of the blockade.
