Srdjan Teparić, PhD
Srđan Teparić is an associate professor at the Department of Music Theory at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where he defended his doctoral dissertation in 2016. In addition to his academic work, he is also an active music critic for Radio Belgrade 2.
He is the author of two significant books: Resemantization of Tonality in the First Half of the 20th Century (1917–1945) (2020) and Style – History, Emotion (2024).
His research and scholarly articles cover a wide range of fields, including the semiotics and semantics of music, music criticism, analysis of interpretations, 20th and 21st-century music, Serbian contemporary music, and popular music. He is an active member of professional associations such as the Serbian Musicological Society, the Serbian Society for Music Theory, and the Composers’ Association of Serbia – Music Writers’ Section.
