Sava Miletić

Assistant professor of Jazz piano

Sava Miletić was born in 1980 in Kragujevac, Serbia where he finished primary and secondary music school at the classical piano department. During the second year of high school, he started attending private classes with the famous jazz pianist Miloš Krstić.

After graduating from high school, he was admitted to the prestigious Jazz University in Graz (Austria), where his professors were: Renato Chicco, Harald Neuwirth, Stjepko Gut, Fritz Power, Uli Rennart and other great musicians and professors. The musicians he performed with were: Stjepko Gut, David Binney, Tivon Pennicott, Seamus Blake, Elliot Mason, David Murray, Luis Bonilla, Matt Brewer, Don Menza, Donald Edwards, Howard Curtis, Uwe Plath, Klemens Marktl, Jure Pukl, Dušan Novakov, Milan Nikolić and many other artists from Europe.

He has had the honor of playing in workshops with musicians such as: Jerry Bergonzi, George Cables, Billy Hart, Ron McClure, Bob Mintzer, Geofrey Keezer, etc.

In September 2015, he went to New York to record his first original album “Roller Coaster” with world-famous musicians: Tivonn Pennicot – tenor saxophone, Matt Brewer – double bass, Donald Edwards – drums and guest Luka Ignjatović – alto saxophone.

Sava Miletić has performed in Austria, France, Spain, Slovakia, Germany, Switzerland, the USA, Indonesia and the countries of the former Yugoslavia.

He completed his Master’s studies in January 2009 at the University of Graz, Austria with the highest grade.
