Sanja Petković

Independent collaborative pianist at the String instruments Department

Sanja Petković was born in Belgrade, where she completed primary and secondary music school “Stevan Mokranjac” in the class of Prof. Dinke Tudor. She continued her education at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, in the class of Prof. Jokut Mihailović. She pursued her postgraduate studies in the same class while working as a collaborative pianist at the Department of String Instruments.

In 1996, she transferred to the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, where she worked as a senior collaborative pianist at the Department of String Instruments. As a piano accompanist, Sanja Petković has performed extensively throughout the former Yugoslavia, with notable appearances at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, Budva City Theatre, and the “Marble and Sounds” festival in Aranđelovac.

She participated as an official accompanist at the International Competition of the Music Youth in Belgrade in 1996, as well as at competitions abroad (Sondrio, Gorizia, Stresa). She has recorded for Radio Television Belgrade and Radio Television Novi Sad. Together with violinist Jasna Maksimović, she recorded a CD featuring Brahms’ sonatas for piano and violin, as well as his Scherzo, released by PGP RTS.

Sanja Petković currently works as an independent collaborative pianist at the Department of String Instruments.
