Nataša Penezić, DMA

Assistant professor in the artistic field of Piano as a complementary course (History of pianism and Piano literature)

Nataša Penezić, DMA, was born in Novi Sad. She studied piano under the guidance of Svetlana Bogino at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. Following a master’s degree at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm where she studied in class of Staffan Scheja, in 2018 she defended her thesis regarding expression in modern piano music at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Dubravka Jovičić.

She performed as a soloist and in different chamber ensembles in festivals such as Klangspuren Festival, IMPULS Graz, Ghent Festival, Aarhus Festival, Aurora Festival, Euro Arts Music Festival, Citta di Chioggia, Musica in Laguna, European Clarinet Festival in Ghent, Ring Ring and Palić Film Festival. She appeared as a soloist with the Russian КРЕДО Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica di Chioggia, as well as Serbian Ensemble SYNC and Muzikon chamber orchestra. She is the recipient of Swedish Music Academy Scholarship, Dartington International Summer School Bursary, Eurobank EFG Scholarship, Dositeja Scholarship and NevenaPopović Award.

Dedicated almost exclusively to modern and contemporary music, she commissions and performs music of our time. Close collaborations include Frederic Rzewski, Sofia Gubaidulina and Jasmina Mitrušić.
