Madlen Stokić-Vasiljević, DMA, was born in Belgrade where she graduated and completed her Master of Arts Studies in 1997 at Belgrade Faculty of Music in the class of prof. Dejan Mihajlović. In 2010 she completed her PhD studies in methodology of the main course – the violin, headed by prof. Dejan Mihailović.
Currently Madlen Stokić-Vasiljević is an assistant professor at Belgrade Faculty of Music and is considered as one of the most acknowledged representatives of younger generation of violinists who work and perform in our country.

Respectable overview of a number of solo concerts, performances in the country and abroad as the soloist with symphonic or chamber orchestras, numerous concerts as the leader of chamber ensembles points to great admiration for her work. She has proved herself the esteemed violinist of baroque to contemporary music, and the performer of numerous premiered Serbian compositions.
As a member of Serbian trio ensemble she was granted the “Concert of 2012 Award.”

Musical critics rendered their view on mastery of Madlen Stokić-Vasiljević as the violinist in Serbian daily newspapers: „… one must speak of a marvelous talent, of great power, lush temperament, irresistible play… and the enthusiasm that has encroached on us” (Politika Ekspres, May 16, 1994); „… in Vitali’s Chaconne, the evening paramount, she possessed the harmony and grandeur of the Duomo of Milan” (Borba, May 14, 2000); „…filled with superb musicianship and exceptional performer’s power…” (Politika, June 15, 2006).
In 2010 she conducted the Violin Master-Classes in Niš, Serbian Faculty of Art. Responding to an invitation of Mozart Association cooperating with the Mozarteum University Salzburg, she runs the International Violin Master-Class in Narni (Italy) since 2012 where she also gives concerts as the soloist with relevant orchestra.
Madlen Stokić-Vasiljević has performed more than 50 concerts in the last five years.
