Igor Andrić

Assistant in the field of Composition - compositional-technical disciplines

Igor Andrić (1996) was born in Kragujevac, where he completed primary and secondary music school. In 2014, he enrolled in composition studies under the guidance of Professor Isidora Žebeljan at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD degree at the same faculty. His music has been performed at festivals and concert halls throughout the country, as well as in France, Germany, Russia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Hong Kong, and Cyprus. In 2017, he participated in the World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi, Russia, representing Serbia as a delegate for art and culture. During that year, he received a commission from accordionist Goran Stevanović to premiere the accordion suite “Taraf de Haidouks” in Bremen, Germany. Igor has collaborated with several successful performers, with his most significant collaboration being with Dušan Joksić. Their collaboration resulted in the creation of “Prometheus Unbound –  fantasy for solo violin and sixteen strings,” which was performed at the “KoMA” festival in 2019 and later in Kragujevac with the city chamber orchestra “Šlezinger“. It was also performed at the Tonali Saal in Hamburg, Germany, with Igor conducting the performances. The piece was included in the RTS orchestra’s concert season in May 2022. His composition, “Piano Trio No. 1” reached the finals of the “Intimacy of Creativity 2019” competition in Hong Kong. In 2020, he composed “Parhelion” for cellist Nemanja Stanković and released the CD “Traces”. Since March 2021, Igor has been associated with the Viennese publishing house “Universal Edition”, which publishes his works. In early 2021, his composition “Three Young Moons” premiered with the ensemble “Metamorphosis”. He is the winner of the “Composer Slam” competition, organized by the “Orchester im Treppenhaus” ensemble. On May 14th 2022, his Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra premiered, featuring the VooDoo piano duo and the Muzikon chamber orchestra. Igor participated in both projects as a conductor.
