Branko Penčić, MMus
Branko Pencic has studied at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the classes of professors Srdjan Grbić and Igor Lazko and finished his undergraduate and postgraduate studies (M.A.) in the class of professor Nevena Popovic. He has participated in master-classes with Rudolf Kerer, Lev Naumov and Benard Ringeissen.
Pencic was a laureate at the last national Piano Competition of the Yugoslav artists in Zagreb (1990). He had numerous recitals at home and abroad playing solo recitals and chamber music. He has played in Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Italy, France, Spain, Gemany and partecipated in festivals such as BEMUS in Belgrade and NOMUS in Novi Sad, Serbia. He has performed as a soloist with the Belgrade and Zagreb Filharmonic Orchestra, the Symphonic Orchestra of Radio Television of Serbia, the String Orchestra Dusan Skovran, Art Ansamble of Yugoslavian Army, the Youth Filharmonic Orchestra … playing with conductors Bojan Sudjic. Jacques Mercier, Darinka Matic Marovic, Igor Gjadrov.
Branko Pencic has made many recordings for radio and TV, and made CD recordings of piano music and works of Serbian composers. He is continuously jury member of various national and international piano competitions.
Since 1992, holds a position of a full time professor at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and is the Head of the Piano Department.
