At the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, on April 8–9, 2026, the second annual AIRE2 conference (Annual In.tune Research in Education Event) was held. The event was dedicated to strengthening the links between artistic research and education within the European university alliance In.tune.
More than 20 teachers, artists, researchers, and students from all eight member institutions of the alliance participated, and representatives of the Faculty of Music in Belgrade made an outstanding impression. Full Professor Dr. Dejan Subotić presented a paper focused on mentorship and co-mentorship in artistic doctoral projects at the Faculty of Music (The role of co-supervisors in artistic doctoral projects: Fostering interdisciplinarity or managing uncertainty?). Master’s students Eva Marković and Ana Blagojević presented the paper When supervision opens the mind: Reflections from a master’s programme in applied music research, offering valuable insights from the student perspective on the PRIMA master’s program.
Immediately before the opening of the conference, a working meeting of the Work Package 4 Committee (Strengthening our research cooperation) was also held, attended by Full Professor Dr. Art. Dejan Subotić and Assistant Professor Dr. Ivana Miladinović Prica. The main topics of the meeting included the development of key alliance resources, such as the Knowledge Hub and a repository of research results, which will ensure greater visibility and enable joint activities of students and staff within the alliance.
