Nenad Radić, DMA

Professor in the artistic field of Piano

Nenad Radić (1968) earned Master`s degree (Prof. Z. Dimitrijević-Stošić), and Doctor of Arts degree (Prof. N. Živković) at the University of Arts, FMU Belgrade. He worked with A. Nasedkin, E. Tatulian and V. Piasetsky. He has won the third prize at First international competition “DunavDonauDanube” – Novi Sad. He held over 50 piano recitals in all major concert halls in Serbia. Particularly remarkable were four concerts at the Grand Kolarac hall, broadcasted several times and permanently recorded for National Radio. He has performed the Fifth Concerto by Beethoven and the First Concerto by Brahms with Symphonic orchestra “Stanislav Binički”. Recitals abroad: “Peterborough Festival” (UK), “Tri-cities Opera Center” (Binghamton, NY, USA), Great City Hall (Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina), City Hall (Celje, Slovenia), Musicology Institute (Opole, Poland). Nenad and Maja Radić (unique piano-organ duo) made a concert tour in 2010: New York, Toronto, Indianapolis, Dallas, and Los Angeles (Cathedral of our Lady of Angels). Nenad Radić made numerous Piano-lectures: Kolarac, Memorial Isidor Bajić, YALE SMN, 6. World Piano Conference, Mokranjac days Festival. For the National Radio-Belgrade he recorded a unique 12-hour program cycle “Towards the ideal of tone (sound) statement”. Discography: “Poetics of Beethoven’s Sonata op.111” (PGP RTS); “Surpassing the limits of piano sound”, “Diabeli Variations” and Schubert Sonata D960 (University of Arts, Belgrade). He is a piano professor at the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade. Almost 30 students finished their studies (all levels) at his class. Since 2014 leads a team of coleagues from all four Faculties of Belgrade Art University (Music, Fine arts, Drama and Aplied arts) at the course named Methods of artistic research, the most important subject in Doctoral studies for music performers.
