Nikola Zdravković, DMA

Collaborative pianist at the Wind instruments Department

Nikola Zdravković (born 1990) is a pianist, Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA), collaborative pianist, educator and researcher in the field of classical music. His professional work encompasses solo and chamber performance, theoretical research, and contemporary approaches to the presentation of music.

He entered the Faculty of Music in Belgrade at the age of seventeen, studying in the class of Professor Aleksandar Serdar, under whose guidance he completed both his undergraduate and master’s degrees. Through this class, he belongs to a pedagogical tradition whose distinguished lineage includes Leon Fleisher and Artur Schnabel. He further broadened his understanding of diverse pianistic traditions through work with prominent pianists and teachers, including Paul Badura-Skoda, Boris Petrushansky, Ronald Brautigam, Martin Hughes, Pietro De Maria, Andrea Lucchesini, Cordelia Höfer-Teutsch and Baruch Meir.

He performed his first solo recital at the age of thirteen and has since maintained an active concert career, appearing in leading concert venues across Serbia as well as in Italy and Germany. He is a
laureate of the International Festival of Young Pianists in Šabac and a recipient of silver medals at the Città di Gorizia and Città di Barletta International Competitions. Chamber music forms an important part of his artistic work. He has collaborated with violinist Sreten Krstić, the Mokranjac String Quartet, clarinettist Stojan Krkuleski and flautist Ana Marija Krkuleski.

In 2019, he completed his doctoral artistic project at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade under the supervision of Professor Aleksandar Serdar, with Professor Tijana Popović Mlađenović as co supervisor. The project explored the phenomenon of fantasy in nineteenth-century piano music, bringing together theoretical inquiry, performance practice and research into sound within the broader context of musical imagination and artistic thought.

He gained extensive experience as a collaborative pianist through his work with the Wind Department at the Kosta Manojlović Music School in Zemun. He has also developed his scholarly interests through co-authored papers presented at the International Pedagogical Forum of Performing Arts. He teaches music theory and music production at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts and, since 2026, has held the position of Collaborative Pianist at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.
