At the second international competition “Vienna Fest,” the chamber ensemble “Duo Hertz,” consisting of students from our faculty, Lara Arbajter (piano) and Ognjen Vujanac (violin), from the class of full professor Dejan Subotić, DMA, won a gold medal in their age category.
With this success, they earned the opportunity to perform at the winners’ final concert, held on April 24 in the renowned “Ehrbar Saal” in Vienna, where they were awarded gold plaques.
“Ehrbar Saal” is a concert hall with a rich musical tradition, where many distinguished artists such as Johannes Brahms and Gustav Mahler have performed. The competition in Vienna gathered more than 100 participants from various countries around the world, including China, Germany, the USA, Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, India, Italy, Armenia, Cyprus, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Malta, and many others, making this achievement even more significant.
Just one day later, “Duo Hertz” achieved a perfect score of 100 points and won the title of laureate at the international competition “Sirmium Fest” in Sremska Mitrovica, performing works by Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, and Schnittke.
Congratulations!
