IN.TUNE ALLIANCE OPEN CALL FOR TEACHERS OF THE FACULTY OF MUSIC
For participation in Working Group 3b “New Approaches in Learning & Teaching”
This Working Group is formed within the Work Package 5 of the IN.TUNE Alliance (Capacity Building and Innovation in Learning & Teaching) and has the aim to develop a progressive joint curricular innovation scheme, with a focus on:
– new approaches to Learning & Teaching in artist pedagogy;
– didactic methodologies for the training and education of artists;
– the use of digital technologies in the educational programs of the partner institutions (in cooperation with Work Package 2);
– the development of student-led artistic and pedagogical projects.
This working group will be in coordination with other working groups and work packages of the Alliance, and its main outcome will contribute to the development of a set of proposals on how new forms of Learning & Teaching could be taken forward concretely in the context of IN.TUNE, as well as the future curriculum development at the institutional level.
The group will start work immediately after its formation and will be active until the end of 2027. The working language is English.
This Open Call is intended for teachers who have the following:
– a background in learning and teaching in a higher education conservatoire context;
– experience in curriculum development and curricular design;
– An interest in topics such as one-to-one and group teaching, collaborative learning, the use of digital technologies in education, as well as, assessment and feedback.
The members of this working group can be vice-deans for teaching, heads of study programs and departments, and teachers actively involved in curriculum development, but the call is not limited to these functions.
Activities and Workload:
– active participation in online meetings of the Working Group (mandatory);
– attendance at the in-person meeting once a year;
– preparation and development of texts, analyses and proposals in accordance with the tasks of the Working Group.
The working group member will have the opportunity to:
– meet new colleagues and explore new approaches in a creative atmosphere;
– exchange information, know-how and perspectives with other international experts and (further) build up a network of international relations;
– investigate, develop and test examples of good practice and new systems;
– contribute to future developments in Higher Music Education (HME)
Funding:
The workload of Working Group 3b members amounts to 2.5 working days per month. Funding is available to support working hours of the members as part of the overall Alliance budget. Travel expenses, accommodation and meals for the annual in-person meeting are covered by the Alliance as well.
