Conductor Bojan Sudjic took part in the XIII Trans-Siberian Art Festival, where his performances with the Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk Symphony Orchestras were met with an outstanding reception from both audiences and critics.

The concerts took place at the invitation of the festival’s founder and artistic director, the legendary Vadim Repin — one of the greatest violinists of our time and a key figure in the global music scene. “Truly the best, the most perfect violinist I have ever heard,” said Yehudi Menuhin about him.
Founded by Vadim Repin in 2014, the festival has quickly established a special place on the international musical map, becoming a major platform that brings together leading artists and outstanding ensembles.
From the very beginning, the festival was conceived as a “crossroads of the arts” and, as Vadim Repin notes, “we always strive to create something new.” A special place in the festival’s programme is devoted to new music — with world premieres of works by Sofia Gubaidulina, Arvo Pärt, Lera Auerbach and other distinguished composers.
Over the years, the festival has featured artists of the highest international standing, including Charles Dutoit, Kent Nagano, Leonard Slatkin, Svetlana Zakharova, Pinchas Zukerman, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Rudolf Buchbinder, Nicholas Angelich, Mario Brunello, Ivry Gitlis, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Daniil Trifonov, Mischa Maisky, Gidon Kremer and many others.
The festival has also presented its programmes at some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall (New York) ,La Scala (Milan), Berliner Philharmonie and Suntory Hall (Tokyo).
“The performances within the Trans-Siberian Art Festival were a real pleasure for me,” says Sudjic.
“In Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk, I encountered orchestras of exceptional quality — strong individual personalities, outstanding musicians with impressive virtuosity, yet at the same time highly disciplined and instantly responsive to every gesture of the conductor. The festival’s General Producer Oleg Bely noted:

In January, Bojan Sudjic assumed the position of Director of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra.
In March, the Neue Philharmonie Hamburg appointed Sudjic as Principal Guest Conductor, starting from the 2026/27 season.
